Join the Redux Contemporary Art Center at 1056 King St, Charleston 29403 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the 15th Annual Art Auction. This year’s fundraising goal is $50,000 and proceeds are used to support the Lowcountry’s studio artists, expand the creative community, and increase art classes and free exhibitions for the public throughout the year. Wild Dunes’ Resort on Isle of Palms will soon be holding their Thanksgiving Day Golf Cart Parade! Despite the cooler temperatures coming from the Atlantic Ocean, parade-goers can see a number of festive golf carts and costumes marching down Isle of Palms in celebration of the 2017 holiday season. Join members of the Lowcountry at the Market Pavilion Hotel for their festive Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The lighting will begin promptly at 5:00pm in the hotel lobby, and there will be light snacks and refreshments. The Market Pavilion Hotel will also be teaming up with the Salvation Army for a toy donation drop–even if you cannot stay for the ceremony, be sure to bring an unwrapped toy. The James Island County Park is holding their annual Holiday Festival of Lights now through January 1, 2018. This year’s Festival hours are Sunday – Thursday: 5:30 – 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday: 5:30 – 11 p.m. Admission prices vary depending on guest and vehicle counts, as per the Festival’s website:
1-15 guests: $20 per vehicle, $15 per vehicle Monday-Thursday with donation*
16-30 guests: $40 Monday-Thursday, $50 Friday-Sunday
31+ guests: $100 Monday-Thursday, $150 Friday-Sunday
*Don’t forget to bring a donation of either canned food or pet food-this donation offers admission into the festival for only $15 per vehicle (1-15 guests).
