Jane Smith Smith
Jane grew up in Charleston's historic South of Broad neighborhood, and graduated from Ashley Hall and the College of Charleston. She remained a "single" Smith until she married Everett Lawson Smith, Jr., and became Jane Smith Smith. Growing her real estate career since 1991, she consistently sells in the multi-million dollar range annually and has been recognized as a Realtor of Distinction. Jane's sincere and caring nature, thoroughness, and dependability has garnered a significant amount of repeat clients and referrals. She sells properties throughout the Charleston region, including: the downtown Historic District, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, Daniel Island, West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, and Wadmalaw Island. She has been a member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors and served on its Professional Standards Committee as both chair and vice-chair.
As an active supporter of her community, Jane is involved with the Alumnae Board of Ashley Hall, the Race for the Cure Committee, and the National Society of the Colonial Dames and First Families of SC. She and her husband are also longstanding members of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church.
Jane's daughter, Jeanne Bucknam, has followed in her mother's footsteps and is currently selling real estate in Manhattan, NYC, where she is a member of the Sotheby's International Realty Company.
Jane and Everett recently purchased a house downtown that her grandfather built in 1916. It was of particular interest because her mother was born in the house in 1918. The couple spent a year renovating and restoring the house and are excited to finally be living there.
