The preservationist who completed this project in 2006 was genius in the reinvention of a Charleston single. Working closely with the Board of Architectural Review, the contractor was able to reclaim double piazzas for the classic exterior and still create huge bathrooms, walk-in closets, laundry room and storage for ultra convenient modern living. The open floor plan is highlighted with heart pine floors throughout, granite countertops, and three large bedrooms each with its own spacious, white tiled bathroom. There is a unique ''stairwell'' office or breakfast room. Parking for 2 or 3 cars. ''X'' flood zone meaning no flood insurance necessary. The neighborhood is home to some of Charleston's best restaurants and King Street, the College, and MUSC are a short walk.
