Tradd Street Renovation Featured in the Wall Street Journal

There’s no question that Charleston has been a favorite of the national press over the last few years. We’ve been awarded everything from best city in North America by Travel & Leisure to top ten food city in America by the Washington Post, and the list goes on. We were excited to see the Wall Street Journal‘s article this past December on an area we at Carriage Properties are particularly interested in—Charleston real estate—and we were even more thrilled to have our own Charles Sullivan quoted, and our clients Todd and Peggy Watkins’ beautiful Tradd Street home featured in the story.

Peggy is a nationally renowned sporting artist, and she and Todd first fell in love with Charleston after attending the city’s annual Southeastern Wildlife Expo. When the couple made the decision to move here from Atlanta, Georgia, they called Carriage Properties and we were thrilled to help them with the purchase of a historic Charleston single home.

The couple embarked on a significant renovation of the home – connecting the kitchen house out back with the main home to create an expansive kitchen and artist’s loft for Peggy. The master bathroom was completely refurbished and a carriage house was converted into a guest suite. We thought you’d be interested to see some of the stunning photos of the finished home that were shot by photographer Brie Williams and published in the Wall Street Journal, below. Enjoy!
