Looking for something fun and exciting to do this Independence Day? There are several happenings here aroundCharleston:

There is fun for all ages at the City ofNorth Charleston’s 4^th of July Festival! The City of North Charleston will provide live music from Island Trio, Calvin Taylor Band, Plane Jane, and the Blue Dogs w/Skylar Laine. There will also be several children’s events such as: inflatable jump castles, games, the play area, the giant sandbox, and the water fountain. This is all free of charge! So, bring your lawn chair and the family and enjoy the largest fireworks show in the Lowcounty! Riverfront Park on July 4, 2013 from 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The Uncle Sam Jam will be held at the Mount Pleasant Pier beginning at 7pm. Dance the night away with music from Permanent Vacation. There will be food and beverage vendors on site. While you are dancing on the beautiful Charleston Harbor, enjoy the magnificent fireworks display above. Cost is $10 per person.

Join BLU out on oceanfront Folly Beach for live music all day! Starting at 11:00 am with Jamisun, 2:00 pm with Return of the Mack, Charleston Groove Factory at 6:00 pm, Soul Fish at 7:30 pm, and again with Charleston Groove Factory at 9:00 pm! This is a family event. Fireworks will be able to be seen from the deck.

C’mon on out to Wadmalaw Island and celebrate Independence Day with Firefly Distillery! The first 100 guests will receive free Firefly merchandise. Stono Café will be grilling out and live music by Campbell Brown of Gaslight Street. They will also be giving FREE samples of their newest edition to the Firefly family. This is a family friendly event that begins at 1PM- 4PM.

Enjoy a lovely fireworks show from the Flight Deck out at Patriots Point. This event is $20 for everyone 11+ ($10 under 11). Catered food and beverages will be available for purchase. Don’t miss a great opportunity to be up close to the amazing fireworks show Patriots Point puts on every year! If you don’t want to be that close, you can enjoy the fireworks landside free of charge!

If you are looking for an adult only event, try the July 4^th Craft Brews Cruise aboard the Carolina Queen! The fun begins at 8:30PM, for only $25, enjoy the beautiful fireworks show from the Charleston Harbor. Live music will be provided by Weigh Station and food is available for purchase from Roti Rolls. Lagunitas Brewing Company will be on board selling craft beer for only $3!
