James Island Connector Run

Beginning and ending at Cannon Park in downtown Charleston, this annual 5K and 10K run/walk features a round-trip crossing of the sweeping James Island Connector. After the race, stay for the awards ceremony and post-run party to enjoy food, beer, and live music. Cash prizes for winners. November 2.

Symphony Tour of Homes on Kiawah Island

Benefiting the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the annual tour features several Kiawah homes representing the finest in architecture and interior design, with CSO soloists, ensembles, and student scholarship winners providing live musical entertainment. At Freshfields, the Youth Orchestra of the Lowcountry, Kidzymphony, Charleston Academy of Music, and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra will perform concerts for tour ticket holders, with food and drink provided by area restaurants. Livin’ Local Fest

Join us for the Livin’ Local Fall Festival Presented by Piggly Wiggly at The Joe. Grab the family and a blanket for an afternoon of Lowcountry fun for all ages. Sit on the grass and enjoy live local music or walk around to visit your favorite local artisans while sipping on a local brew. Come support the place we all call home. There will be local musicians, local food trucks, local vendors, and local activities. Come experience Charleston in one event! November 3| 1PM-5PM

Holiday Festival of Lights Fun Run and Walk

Take part in an exclusive preview of the Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park, where participating runners and walkers will be the first in Charleston to view more than 600 magical light displays during a two-mile non-competitive fun run/walk. After reaching the finish line, enjoy the festive seasonal amenities. November 6 & 7.

Coastal Carolina Fair

57^th annual fair is operated by Exchange Club of Charleston. The vision of the Coastal Carolina Fair is to be the ‘cleanest, safest, most enjoyable fair anywhere’ and its objective is to promote Agriculture, Industry, Commerce and the Educational and Recreational facilities of the counties of Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester and Colleton and surrounding areas. Holiday Festival of Lights

Capture the magic of the holiday season at the annual Holiday Festival of Lights, Charleston’s most beloved nighttime holiday attraction. Your journey begins with a leisurely three-mile drive through millions of sparkling bulbs and hundreds of light displays. Then stretch your legs and your imagination at Santa’s Village & Winter Wonderland. November 8- December 31

Lowcountry Hoedown

Enjoy craft brews from three great Southern states, including local favorite Holy City Brewing. Nibble and nosh on BBQ, brisket & tasty Southern treats from Lowcountry restaurants and artisan food vendors. It will be in the Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed and be prepared to dance! This event will benefit Pet Helpers. November 9| 7-11PM

2^nd Sunday on King Street

Charleston’s most exciting shopping and dining district is King Street, the most unique Main Street in the world. Now on the Second Sunday of each month, King Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to celebrate Southern Sunday afternoons by welcoming everyone to stroll, shop, dine and enjoy Charleston at its finest. The 2nd Annual “Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown”

This event will feature two days of barbeque competition centered around The Lookout Pavilion and a food drive benefitting the Lowcountry Food Bank. Public sampling of chicken wings and pork butts will be available for purchase, along with numerous options for food and refreshments. Enjoy live music performances and cooking demonstrations all within a family friendly, casual and fun atmosphere. November 15 & 16

14^th Annual Celebrity Chili Cook-off and Oyster Roast

The perfect outdoor celebration to kickoff the holiday season. Over 1,000 animal supporters from all over the Lowcountry will fill the grounds of the Joe Riley Park to witness the spirited rivalry between local celebrities and other notables for the coveted champion robe. All while tasting the award winning chili, shucking endless oysters, enjoying local beers from Palmetto Brewery, listening to music from amazing local musicians, and supporting a great cause. Benefitting Toby’s Medical Fund at Charleston Animal Society. November 23| 1PM- 5PM

Lights Up – Towne Centre Tree Lighting

Come kick off the joyous season! Mayor Billy Swails will turn on all of the holiday lights at Towne Centre in Mount Pleasant. This event will be located by Belk. Please bring an unwrapped toy or cash donation for the event. Santa and Santa’s helpers will be at the workshop. There will be s’mores and coca to help ignite the holiday cheer! Celebrate with the town of Mount Pleasant! November 23| 6-8PM

Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble

The annual Thanksgiving Day fun run, now in its 36th year, is a true Charleston tradition. Beginning at Marion Square in downtown Charleston, the course weaves a scenic route down Meeting Street, around the historic Battery and up King Street, returning to Marion Square. Live music, food and beverages (including a beer garden for those 21 or older), a children’s fun run, and an appearance by Tom the Turkey are among the morning’s highlights. November 28.
